Senior Pastors
Wayne & Matti Friedt...

... have been pastors of Believers' Fellowship since April of 1978.

 

Wayne Friedt is called to commit unto the faithful as found in II Timothy 2:2. He has spent nearly his whole Christian life studying the Word of God and learning from great men and women such as Kenneth E. Hagin, Lester Sumrall, Smith Wigglesworth, R.W. Schambach and others. Pastor Wayne is extremely strong in the Word, quoting many scriptures in every message. He operates in an anointing of faith to heal sick, cast out devils, and set the captive free. He emphasizes our need to plant our life in Christ and live "In Him" as He is in us.

 

Matti Friedt is an avid Bible teacher and flows prophetically with the Spirit of God. She has a strong prophetic gifting and feels called to teach God's people how to worship.  With a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education and over 30 years of education experience, Matti has spoken in national conferences, colleges, churches, schools, and homes.

 

Wayne & Matti were married on July 21, 1972. They have 3 children, married, each with 2 children of their own.

Associate Pastor

Jonathan Friedt...

... was born again at the age of 3 and filled with the Holy Spirit at the age of 5. His parents being pastors, he has spent his entire life fully involved in and around the ministry. Even as a child he would minister to others through prayer, the laying on of hands, and the word of God. Feeling a personal call to ministry at the age of 12 was no surprise.

 

Jonathan is a graduate of Layman to Leadership School of the Bible now known as Faith School of Ministry and holds a Bachelors Degree in Biblical Studies from The River Bible Institute in Tampa, Florida.

 

Jonathan is married to Maria Diane. They have 2 children. Maria is a kindergarten teacher for the Polk County School Board and holds a bachelors degree in education from Florida Southern College and is also a graduate of Layman to Leadership School of the Bible now known as Faith School of Ministry.

 

Jonathan became employed by Believers Fellowship of Lakeland in 1996. He has served in areas from maintenance to preaching.  He is currently the church administrator and the worship leader.

Youth Pastors

Steve and Suzanne Heffner...

... began attending Believers' Fellowship in 1996. They graduated from the Laymen to Leadership School of the Bible, now known as Faith School Of Ministry, in 1998. They began working with the Youth in 1997 and became Youth Pastors in 2002.

Children's Pastor

Shannon Salyers...

... was called by the Lord into children’s ministry in 1992.  She is a graduate of Southeastern University with a degree in Elementary Education and Secondary English. She also graduated from Faith School of Ministry in 2003.

Pastoral Assistants

James and Cathy Hyde...

... James has been a member of Believers' Fellowship since August of 1999; Cathy joined the church in April of 2000.  They met at Believers' Fellowship and married on February 22, 2002. They became Care Group Leaders in 2002, and they continue to serve as such.  They also serve as the leads for Follow-Up ministry, helping to care for members of the fellowship.  They are both graduates of Faith School of Minisrty.
